| There are a large number of State Government agencies delivering services from regional offices within the South West. The role of the South West Regional Buying Centre is to support local Government Agencies in their purchasing. At no cost, the South West Regional Buying Centre can provide advice, coordinate the procurement process so that Government Agencies can focus on their core business and provide training and support. As part of the Regional Buying Centre Network we ensure that the State Supply Policies are followed in the areas of value for money, probity and accountability and open and effective competition The key objectives of the South West Regional Buying Centre are to:
The Regional Buying Centre works closely with the South West Development Commission, Chambers of Commerce and Industries and Small Business Centres. It is through groups like these that the Regional Buying Centres are able to work with local suppliers.
